I am happy with how last night's pour turned out, even if the mix I had was a complete fail. There were a couple pieces that stayed together despite being nothing more than a pile of rocks, and it was enough to determine the successfulness of the dirt as formwork. It did pretty well, especially at such a small scale.
Now I am trying a different method of pouring that will hopefully deal with the slope of the hut better. Since the sides do become relatively steep in the middle, I am trying to pour in courses instead of all at once, building up an exterior formwork as I go to help shape the outer face. I am using plaster this time because it has no aggregate to mess with, and because it cures significantly faster than concrete or cement mix, making the process a lot faster.
